Welf IV first married Ethelinde von Northeim, daughter of Otto von Northeim Duke of Bavaria.

ca 1071 Welf IV second married Judith of Flanders (1134) , daughter of Count Baldwin IV of Flanders (882) (ca 980-30 May 1035) & Eleanor of Normandy (1065) (ca 1002-aft Jul 1037). Born ca 1035/1038. Judith died on 5 Mar 1094 in Weingarten.

1314. Comte Hugues V du Maine. Born ca 1060. Hugues V died in 1131.

Hugh V, Count of Maine (1069-1072, and 1090-1093). He sold the County of Maine to his cousin, Helie de la Fleche, about 1093.

In 1071 Hugues V married Heria d’ Hauteville (1344) , daughter of Robert Guiscard d’ Hauteville Duke of Normandy (1083) (ca 1015-17 Jul 1085) & Sikelgaite of Salerno (1698) (ca 1025-27 Jul 1090).

1315. Marchese Folco I d’ Este. Folco I died in 1128.
