Robert fitz Richard married Maud de Senlis (2678) , daughter of Simon de Senlis Earl of Huntingdon & Northampton (-1111) & Maud of Northumbria (2190) (1072-1130/1). Maud died ca 1140.

1762. Gilbert fitzRichard de Clare. Born ca 1065. Gilbert fitzRichard died ca 1114/1117 in England.

Gilbert was heir to the English possessions of his father. By King Henry I, he was also granted the Lordship of Cardigan. He is the common ancestor of the two powerful Clare families—the Earls of Hertford and Gloucester and the Earls of Pembroke.

Gilbert fitzRichard married Adeliza de Clermont (1642) , daughter of Hugh I de Creil Comte de Clermont (ca 1030-1101) & Margaret de Roucy (1282) (ca 1045-ca 1110). Born ca 1060 in Northampton.

Adelizia married Sir Walter Ryrrel.

1765. Avice de Clare. Avice died ca 1138.

Avice married Seigneur Raoul I de Fougères, son of Seigneur Meen II de Fougères (1015-1074) & Adelaide du Chatellier. Raoul I died in 1124.
