ca 1184 Aline married Sir Alan Basset, son of Thomas Basset (ca 1130-ca 1182) & Alice de Dunstanville (ca 1136-aft 1186). Born ca 1162 in Headington, Oxfordshire. Alan died in 1231 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.4

Alan, named in the Magna Charta, Sheriff of Rutland. He was named in the Magna Charta.

King John gave Alan the manor of Wycomb Basset in 1203, and in 1212 he held Wooton Basset, Wiltshire, of the inheritance of his wife. He waas scceded in turn by his sons, Gilbert who died in 1241, Fulk who died in 1259, and Phiilip who died in 1271.4
