3284. Maud de Clare. Born ca 1180 in Lincoln, LIncolnshire. Maud died in 1213.

ca 1196 Maud married William IV de Braose (3590) , son of William III de Braose (3144) (ca 1153-9 Aug 1211) & Maud de St. Valerie Lady de La Haie (ca 1155-1210). Born ca 1175 in Bramber Castle, Sussex. William IV died in 1210 in Corfe Castle prison.

William, of Bramber, Sussex. He was starved to death by King John in 1210.

3285. Gilbert de Clare Earl of Gloucester. Born ca 1180/1182 in Hertford, Hertfordshire. Gilbert died on 25 Oct 1230 in Penrose, Brittany. Buried on 10 Nov 1230 in Tewksbury, Gloucestershire.

Gilbert, first Earl of Gloucester, fifth Earl of Hertford, seventh Earl of Clare. Magna Charta Surety 1215.

On 9 Oct 1217 Gilbert married Isabel Marshal (3380) , daughter of Sir William Marshal (ca 1146-14 May 1219) & Isabel de Clare (2901) (ca 1171/2-1220), in Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucestershire. Born on 9 Oct 1200 in Pembroke Castle, Pembrokeshire. Isabel died in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, on 15 Jan 1240; she was 39. Isabel died in childbed. Buried in Beaulieu, Southampton.
