3897. Kunigunde of Hungary. Born in 1224 in Buda. `. Kunigunde died on 24 Jul 1292.

Kunigunde, also spelled Kinga.

In 1239 Kunigunde married Prince Boleslav V of Cracow, son of Prince Leszek I of Poland (1186/7-23 Nov 1227) & Gremislawa of Luck (-1258). Born on 21 Jun 1226. Boleslav V died on 7 Dec 1279; he was 53.

3899. Catherine of Hungary. Born ca 1229. Catherine died in 1242.

3900. Elizabeth of Hungary. Born in 1236. Elizabeth died on 24 Oct 1271. Buried in Seligenthal.

Elizabeth married Duke Heinrich I of Lower Bavaria (3730) , son of Duke Otto II of Bavaria (3473) (7 Apr 1206-29 Nov 1253) & Agnes bei Rhein (3297) (aft 1201-16 Aug 1267). Born on 19 Nov 1235 in Landshut. Heinrich I died in Burghausen on 3 Feb 1290; he was 54. Buried in Seligenthal.

3901. Constance of Hungary. Born in 1237.

Constance, also spelled Konstancia.

1251/2 Constance married King Lev of Galicia, son of King Daniil of Galicia (ca 1201-1264) & Annd of Novgorod. Born ca 1228. Lev died in 1301.

3902. King István V of Hungary. Born in Dec 1239 in Buda. István V died on 1 Aug 1272.

Stephen V, king of Hungary (1270-1272). To insure the loyalty of the Kumans, a people who fled into Hungary before the Mongols, István’s father Béla IV had married him to a Kuman princess.

In 1253 István V married Elizabeth of the Cumans (3486) , daughter of Prince Kuthen of the Cumans (-ca 1290) & [____] of Galicia (3021). Born ca 1240. Elizabeth died aft 1290.

Elizabeth’s husband died only two years after his father, and the country for a number of years.

On 25 Oct 1264 Béla married Kunigunde of Brandenburg, daughter of Margrave Otto III of Brandenburg (-9 Oct 1267) & Beatrix of Bohemia (-25 May 1286). Kunigunde died aft 9 Jun 1292.

3904. Margaret “the Younger” of Hungary. Born aft Apr 1242. Margaret “the Younger” died on 18 Jan 1271.

Yolande, also given as Ilona, Jolante, or Helene.

ca 1250 Yolande married Prince Boleslav V of Poland, son of Prince Wladislaw of Poznan (1190-1239) & Jadwiga (-1249). Born aft 1221. Boleslav V died in 1279.
