ca 1298 Avila first married Sir John de Mowbray (4340) , son of Sir Roger de Mowbray (4031) (ca 1254-bef 21 Nov 1297) & Rohese de Clare (4085) (ca 1250/1255-aft 1316), in Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales. Born on 4 Sep 1286 in Axholme, Lincolnshire. John died in York, Yorkshire, on 23 Mar 1321/2; he was 35.

John, Baron of Axholme, Lincolnshire, and of Thirsk, Yorkshire. He was executed after battle of Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, and his corpse was left dangling at York for 3 years..
