On 19 Nov 1799 when Benjamin was 23, he married Maritje Harder (62493) , daughter of Jan Harder (53691) (3 Aug 1743-11 Sep 1835) & Commerche Hoes (53682) (ca Aug 1750-1 Nov 1828), in Claverack, Columbia County, New York.624 Born on 1 Oct 1776.624 Maritje was baptized in Claverack, Columbia County, New York, on 3 Nov 1776.624 Witnesses: Peter Brouwer & wife Maria. Maritje died in Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York, on 26 Aug 1858; she was 81.234 Buried in Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York.

More research is needed to varify that Catherine Comford is a child of Benjamin and Maritje.234
