On 14 Dec 842 when Ermentrude was 12, she married King Charles II of France Holy Roman Emperor (314) , son of King Louis I of Aquitaine Holy Roman Emperor (264) (Aug 778-20 Jun 840) & Judith of Altdorf (ca 800-19 Apr 843), in Crécy. Born on 13 Jun 823 in Frankfort-on-Maine. Charles II died in Cenlis, in the Alps, on 6 Oct 877; he was 54. Buried in St Denis, Paris.
