401. Matilda of Ringelheim. Born ca 890 in Memleben, Saxony. Matilda died on 14 Mar 968 in Quedlinburg.

ca 909 Matilda married Duke Heinrich I of Saxony Holy Roman Emperor (473) , son of Duke Otto I of Saxony (393) (ca 828/836-30 Nov 912) & Hedwig de la Marche (551) (ca 846-24 Dec 903). Born ca 876. Heinrich I died on 2 Jul 936 in Menleben, Saxony.

Henry, “der Vogelsteller”, duke of Saxony (912-936), and Emperor of Germany (916-936). He subjugated in 921 Arnulf of Bavaria, who had been established as anti-king. In 925 Lorrain reverted to the overlordship of Germany. Duke Giselbert later married Henrey’s daughter Gerberga. In 928/9 the Hevellers and Sorbs were subjugated. After an armistice of nine years, henry defeated the Magyars (hungarians) in 933 at Riade.
