1106. King Duncan I of Scotland. Born ca 1000/1015. Duncan I died on 14 Aug 1040 in Iona, near Elgin, Argyleshire. Buried in Iona.

Duncan I, king of Scotland (1034-1040) succeeded his grandfather Malcom II. He was succeeded by Macbeth who married married as his second wife Gruoch, daughter of Bode, a son of Kenneth III (cousin of Malcolm II) and grandson of Dubh (brother of Kenneth II).

ca 1030 Duncan I married Sibylla Fitz Siward of Northumbria, daughter of Earl Siward of Northumbria (-1055) & Ælfaed II of Northumerland. Born ca 1014. Sibylla Fitz Siward died in 1040.
