On 25 Jun 1204 Marie married King Pedro II of Aragon (2834) , son of King Alfonso II of Aragon (2520) (25 Mar 1157-25 Apr 1196) & Sanchia of Castile & León (2369) (21 Sep 1154-9 Nov 1208), in Monpellier. Born ca 1176. Pedro II died on 13 Sep 1213 in Moret.

Pedro II (usually named Peter in English), King of Aragon and Count of Barcelona (1196-1213). Also, Count of Gevandur. He was killed by the crusaders in the Battle of Muret fighting for the Albigensians.
