4312. Humphrey I de Bohun Earl of Hereford. Born on 23 Mar 1341/2. Humphrey I died in Saffron Walden, Essex, on 16 Jan 1372; he was 29. Buried in Walden Abbey, Essex.

On 9 Dec 1359 when Humphrey I was 17, he married Joan FitzAlan (4689) , daughter of Richard FitzAlan Earl of Arundel (4438) (ca 1313-24 Jan 1375/6) & Eleanor Plantagenet (4367) (ca 1316-11 Jan 1371/2), in Norfolk. Born ca 1345/1351 in Arundel, Sussex. Joan died on 7 Apr 1419 in Saffron Walden, Essex. Buried in Walden Abbey, Essex.

4313. Elizabeth de Bohun. Born ca 1350. Elizabeth died on 3 Apr 1385. Buried in Lewes.

On 28 Sep 1359 Elizabeth married Sir Richard FitzAlan (4687) , son of Richard FitzAlan Earl of Arundel (4438) (ca 1313-24 Jan 1375/6) & Eleanor Plantagenet (4367) (ca 1316-11 Jan 1371/2), in Derbyshire. Born ca 1346 in Arundel, Sussex. Richard died on 21 Sep 1397 in Cheapside, London. Richard was beheaded. Buried in Augustine Friars, London.

Richard, tenth Earl of Arundel and Surrey. He was the bearer of the crown at the coronation of King Richard II. He was a member of the Council and was made Admiral of the West and South in 1377, then, in 1386, of all England. Also K.G. in 1386. He distinguished himself in the French wars, gaining a brilliant naval victory over the allied French, Spanish, and Flemish fleets off Margate in 1387. He was made governor of Brest in 1388. In 1388, also, he joined with the Duke of Gloucester in taking an active part against the King, who was, at that time, entirely in the Duke's power. In 1394 he obtained pardon for all politcal offenses, but was treacherously siezed on 12 July 1397, tried at Westminster, and beheaded in Cheapside 12 September 1397.
