James Butler (or le Botiller), third Earl of Ormond. He was in England to do homage on 28 Oct 1385, and returned in June 1386 to Ireland. He was several times Chief Governor of Ireland.

bef 17 jun 1386 James married Ann de Welles (4962) , daughter of Sir John de Welles (5027) (23 Aug 1334-11 Oct 1361) & Maud de Ros (4663) (-9 Dec 1388). Born ca 1359 in Welles, Lincolnshire. Ann died aft 1396.
