Born in 1384 in Shrewsbury. John died on 17 Jul 1453 in the Battle of Castillon, Dordogne, France. Buried in St. Alkmund's, Whitchurch.

John, first Earl of Shrewsbury, Lord Talbot 1421, Lord Furnivall, Lord Strange of
Blackmere, also created Earl of Waterford 17 Jul 1446. He died in the battle of Castillon.
