In 1156 Maria married King István IV of Hungary (3014) , son of King Béla II of Hungary (2563) (ca 1109-13 Feb 1141) & Jelena of Serbia (-aft 1146). István IV died on 11 Apr 1165.

Stephen IV, King of Hungary (1162-1163). He disputed the crown with his nephew István III after the death of Géza II, László’s brother and István’s father, and claimed the crown after the death of his brother László II.
