3081. Joanna de Dammartin. Born ca 1215/1220. Joanna died on 16 Mar 1279 in Abbeville, France. Buried in Abbey de Valloires, France.

Joanna, also spelled Jeanne, countess of Ponthieu.

In Oct 1237 Joanna married King Ferdindo III of Castile & León (3305) , son of King Alfonso IX of Castile & León (2824) (15 Aug 1171-24 Sep 1230) & Queen Berenguela I of Castile (3226) (1180-8 Nov 1244), in Burgos, Spain. Born on 5 Aug 1201. Ferdindo III died in Sevilla, Spain, on 30 May 1252; he was 50.

Ferdinanad, King of Castile (1217-1252) by virtue of inheritance of his mother, and of Léon (1230-1252) succeeding his father. He faught against the Moors in Spain conquering Córdoba in 1236, Murcia in 1243, Jaén in 1246, and Seville in 1248, leaving only the Kingdom of Granada under Muslim control, but it was subject to the payment of annual tribute to Castile. He was canonized a saint of the Roman Church in 1671. He was succeeded by his son Alfonso X.

3083. Philippe de Dammartin.

Philippe married Raoul II de Lusignan Comte d’Eu (2969) , son of Raoul I de Lusignan Comte d’Eu (2508) (bef 1165-1 May 1219) & Comtesse Alix d’ Eu (3096) (ca 1175-15 May 1246). Raoul II died on 1 Sep 1246. Buried in Abbaye de Foncarmont.
