In 1297 Isabelle married Duc Jean III de Bretagne. Born on 8 Mar 1286 in Chantoceaux. Jean III died in Caen on 30 Apr 1341; he was 55. Buried in Ploermel.

4415. King Philippe VI of France. Born in 1293 in Fontainbleau, France. Philippe VI died on 22 Aug 1350 in Nogent le Rotrou. Buried in St. Denis.

Philip, Count of Valois, became Philip VI the Pious, King of France, in 1328 upon the death of his cousin Charles IV, and was crowned 29 May 1328. His other titles included Count of Alençon 1293, Count of Maine 1315, and Count of Valois 1326. He reigned until his death in 1350, but the Hundred Years War with England began with his ill treatment of Charles IV’s nephew, King Edward III of England, who had a claim to the French throne.

In 1313 Philippe VI first married Jeanne de Bourgogne (4141) , daughter of Duc Robert II de Bourgogne (3785) (1248-21 Mar 1306) & Agnes of France (3773) (1260-1327), in Fontainbleau. Born ca 1290/1294. Jeanne died on 12 Sep 1348 in Paris. Buried in St. Denis.

Jeanne died as a nun at Fontennelles.

On 19 May 1305 Jeanne married Count Willem III of Hainault & Holland (3877) , son of Jean II d’ Avesnes Count of Hainault & Holland (3888) (ca 1247-22 Aug 1304) & Philippa of Luxembourg (3457) (ca 1252-6 Apr 1311), in Chauny.
