5154. John Clifford. Born ca 1388. John died on 13 Mar 1421/2 in Meaux, France.

John, seventh Baron Clifford. John fought for Henry V in France. He took part in the siege of Harfleur and fought at Agincourt in 1415. He also took part in the siege of Cherbourg and received its surrender. He was rewarded for his service to the king by creating a knight of the order of the garter. He was killed at the siege of Meaux in 1422.

In May 1404 John married Elizabeth Percy (5122) , daughter of Sir Henry de Percy (4855) (20 May 1364-21 Jul 1403) & Elizabeth de Mortimer (5083) (12 Feb 1370/1-20 Apr 1417). Born ca 1388 in Alnwick, Northumberland. Elizabeth died on 26 Oct 1437.

Maud first married John de Neville (4857) , son of Sir John de Neville (4576) (ca 1331-17 Oct 1388) & Elizabeth Latimer (4743) (-5 Nov 1395). Born in 1382. John died in Dec 1430. They were divorced.

ca 1414 Maud second married Richard Plantagenet (4823) , son of Edmund Plantagenet Duke of York (4526) (5 Jun 1341-1 Aug 1402) & Isabel of Castile (5018) (1355-23 Nov 1393). Born ca Sep 1376 in Conisburgh Castle, Yorkshire. Richard died on 5 Aug 1415 in Southampton Green, Southampton, Hampshire.
