1799. King Edgar of Scotland. Born ca 1074. Edgar died on 8 Jan 1106/7.

Edgar, king of Scotland (1097-1107), succeeded Donald Bane. He died unmarried and had no known issue. He was succeeded by Alexander I.

1800. Matilda of Scotland. Born ca 1079/80 in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland. Matilda died on 1 May 1118 in Westminster, England. Buried in Jun 1118 in St. Peter, Westminster Abbey.

On 11 Nov 1100 Matilda married King Henry I of England (1500) , son of King William I of England (1329) (14 Oct 1027-10 Sep 1087) & Matilda of Flanders (1179) (ca 1032-2 Nov 1083), in Westminster, England. Born in 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire. Henry I died on 1 Dec 1135 in St. Denis-le-Fermont, France. Buried on 4 Jan 1136 in Reading Abbey, Reading.

Henry I, “Beauclerc”, King of England (1100-1135), succeeded his older brother William I upon his death by means of a coup d’état which excluded his brother Robert II duke of Normandy who was on crusade. Robert invaded England in 1101 but did not succeed. Henry invaded Normandy in 1105 and imprisoned Robert for life. Henry tried to secure the succession for his daughter Matilda which lead to a civil war between Matilda and Stephen. His nephew Stephen succeeded him.

1801. King Alexander I of Scotland. Born ca 1078. Alexander I died on 25 Apr 1124.

Alexander I, king of Scotland (1107-1124), succeeded his brother Edgar. He had no legitimate issue by his wife Sibyl, but he had an illegitimate sond Malcolm. He was succeeded by his borther David I.

ca 1107 Alexander I married Sybil of England (1944) , daughter of King Henry I of England (1500) (1068-1 Dec 1135) & Sibyl Corbet (-aft 1157). Born ca 1092. Sybil died on 12 Jul 1222 in Island of the Woman, Loch Tay.

1802. Mary of Scotland. Born ca 1081. Mary died on 31 May 1116. Buried in Bermondsey Priory, London.

In 1102 Mary married Comte Eustache III de Boulogne (1298) , son of Comte Eustace II de Boulogne (1026) (ca 1030-ca 1072/1082) & Ida of Lorraine (1292) (ca 1040-13 Aug 1113). Born ca 1058. Eustache III died aft 1125.

Eustache III (also spelled Eustace), Count of Boulogne-sur-Mer & Lens. Went on the First Crusade.

1803. King David I of Scotland. Born ca 1084. David I died on 24 May 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland. Buried in Scone, Perthshire, Scotland.

David I, the Saint, king of Scotland (1124-1153), succeeded his brother Alexander I. He was succeeded by his grandson Malcolm IV.

ca 1113 David I married Maud of Northumbria (2190) , daughter of Waltheof II, Earl of Northumbria (ca 1045-31 May 1076) & Judith de Ponthieu (1708) (1054-aft 1086). Born in 1072. Maud died 1130/1. Buried in Scone, Perthshire, Scotland.
