2020. King Sancho II of Castile. Sancho II died in 1072.

Sancho II, King of Castile (1065-1072). He was murdered.

2021. Elvira of Castile. Born ca 1038/9. Elvira died on 15 Nov 1101.

2022. King Alfonso VI of Castile & León. Born 1039/40. Alfonso VI died on 29 Jun 1109 in Toledo, Spain. Buried in Monastery of Sahegun, Spain.

Alfonso VI, king of León (1065-1109), of Castile (1072-1109). After his brother Sancho II of Castile was murdered, Aflonso had to swear to the Castilian nobility that he was he was not responsible for Sancho’s death in order to get their support. He conquered Toledo in 1085, and called himself Emperor of Toledo, as well as Emperor of the Two Religions. He was succeeded by his daughter Urraca.

In 1069 Alfonso VI first married Agnes d’ Aquitaine (1377) , daughter of Duc Guy-Guillaume VIII d’ Aquitaine (1098) (ca 1025-25 Sep 1086) & Anne de Périgord. Born ca 1052. Agnes died in 1078. They were divorced in 1077.

On 8 May 1081 Alfonso VI second married Constance de Bourgogne (1186) , daughter of Duc Robert I de Bourgogne (929) (1011-31 Mar 1076) & Helie de Sémur (1532) (1016-22 Apr 1055). Born ca 1046. Constance died ca 1093.

bef 28 may 1108 Alfonso VI third married Beatrice d’ Aquitaine (1381) , daughter of Duc Guy-Guillaume VIII d’ Aquitaine (1098) (ca 1025-25 Sep 1086) & Hildegarde de Bourgogne (1187) (ca 1050-aft 1104). Beatrice died in 1110.

He fourth did not marry Jimena Munoz (2532) , daughter of Conde Munio Gonzales de Asturias (2027) (-aft 1082) & Mayor Rodriguez (-aft 1059). Jimena died in 1128.

Alfonso VI fifth married Zaida de Seville. Zaida died in 1103.
