2460. King Henry II of England. Born on 5 Mar 1133 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France. Henry II died in Chinon Castle, Indre-et-Loire, on 6 Jul 1189; he was 56. Buried on 8 Jul 1189 in Fontrevault Abbey, France.

Henri, Count of Anjou (1151-1189). As Henry II, King of England (1154-1189), succeeding Stephen, and succeeded by his son Richard I.

On 11 May 1152 when Henry II was 19, he first married Duchess Eleanor of Aquitaine (2270) , daughter of Duc Guillaume X d’ Aquitaine (1776) (1099-19 Apr 1137) & Eleanor de Châtellerault (ca 1103-aft Mar 1130), in Cathedral de Saint-Pierre, Bordeaux. Born in 1123 in Chateau de Belin, Gironde, Aquitaine. Eleanor died on 1 Apr 1204 in Chateau de Mirebelle, Poitiers. Buried in Fontrevraud Abbaye, France.
